Ryle Bindery Co
Ryle Bindery Co. is a new bookbindery opening up in upstate NY. They want to bring back the dying art of handmade, bespoke books.
Ryle wanted a designer to be able to create a brand that subtly references traditional bookbinding techniques, whether through illustrations or marks. They also indicated that they like clean sans-serif typefaces.
With this in mind, I went with Sackers gothic for the main logo. It’s going to be obvious from the business niche and other elements that this is a vintage brand so I wanted to make sure the main logo gave off a clean modern look. I also included a bookbinder’s press image that I gave risograph texture as an added element and pattern option that resembles bookbinding stitches all of this brought together to commemorate original bookbinderies.
